How We Work Together

Therapeutic Approach

I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. These approaches provide practical tools to help manage difficult emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful and lasting change.

Person-Centered

Every person comes to counseling with a story, experiences, strengths, and goals. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide support, guidance, and a space where you feel understood. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. We will work collaboratively to understand your experiences, identify patterns, and create an approach that fits your needs and where you are in your journey.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy®

Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) is a brief, structured therapy approach that can help reduce the distress connected to difficult memories and experiences. Using guided eye movements and visualization, ART helps the brain reprocess distressing images, sensations, and emotions so they can become less overwhelming. I have completed basic ART training and may incorporate this approach when it aligns with a client's needs.
